Neater Heat was founded in 2011 by Lee Tilbury, an ex-military Royal Engineer, and incorporated as Neater Heat Ltd in 2016. From a base on the Beechnut Industrial Estate in Aldershot, the team now covers Farnham, Fleet, Farnborough, Guildford, Camberley and the wider Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire border for homeowners, landlords, self-builders and businesses.
What sets the firm apart is the breadth done properly: gas and oil boilers from Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi and Ideal; air and ground source heat pumps; solar PV and battery storage; and the everyday servicing, repairs and gas-safety work that keeps it all running. Gas, heating & safety
Gas Safe Registered
By law, only a Gas Safe registered engineer may work on your boiler, gas appliances and flues. It is the single most important thing to check before letting anyone near your gas — and every Neater Heat engineer holds it.
OFTEC Registered
OFTEC registration covers oil-fired heating, so homes off the mains-gas grid across rural Hampshire and Surrey are looked after to the same competent, certificated standard as gas.
APHC & Trading Standards Approved
Membership of the APHC (the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors) and Trading Standards Approved status mean an independent body vouches for how we quote, work and treat customers.
Renewables & accountability
MCS Accredited
MCS accreditation is what lets us install heat pumps and solar PV to a certified standard — and it's what unlocks the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant of up to £7,500 towards a heat pump. Without it, that grant isn't available.

A next-day boiler swap, shuffled in
The problem — A boiler that had reached the point where a service alone wasn't the sensible call — a replacement would be more cost-effective over its life, but the customer needed it sorted quickly rather than waiting weeks.
What we did — After the service and honest advice, the team reworked their diary to bring the installation forward to the very next day. Two engineers fitted the new boiler with tidy pipework and left it neat — exactly what the name promises.

A Hive set up around the whole home
The problem — A customer wanting a Hive smart heating system that would actually work in harmony with an existing boiler, hot-water tank and underfloor heating — not just a thermostat bolted on that ignored half the setup.

A clear quote, warranties and grants
You get a written quote with the price set out, the right kit specified, and any Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant (up to £7,500 on a heat pump) signposted. Manufacturer warranty registration is included on new boilers.

Installed, commissioned, left neat
Our own accredited engineers carry out the work — most boilers in 1–2 days, heat pumps within a few — commission it, register the warranty, and, as the name says, leave it neat. Then we're on the end of the phone if you need us.
